ADNAN OKTAR: Now Oktar. There is an important issue. Now, on television they get certain Islamic scholars on. They talk about religion and faith. Of course this is beneficial I mean it would be beneficial anyhow. For example, the man hears a verse, a hadith or something about the Qur'an. Even if it is wrong, he can learn the true version from the internet. He has the means to understand that. But there is a subject that these scholars do not place importance on.

"Guidance to the true path" [Hidayah] is the principle subject matter with people. It is very important that they believe, that they have deep faith and that they have sincere faith. Without checking whether or not they have sincere faith, without understanding that and without showing the effort to conduce to their faith, they just say "You have to perform salat (prayer) like this. You have to be careful about this and that. You have to move like this when you enter the house." Brother, he does not ask the man, "My brother, do you have faith? To what degree do you believe? Is your faith strong enough to cope with this?" Look Bediuzzaman draws attention this vital subject and says, "The most important issue in life is faith." He says, "The most important issue is faith. Therefore the real issue is to tell the signs leading to faith." He says, "Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will tell the signs leading to faith as a priority. He will first destroy Darwinism and materialism and he will tell the signs leading to faith and prevent Muslims' balance to be disrupted spiritually." So he says, "He will prevent them to slip towards disbelief." He says, "But as the most important issue Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will take his stand against Darwinism and materialism." Insha'Allah. "And he will concentrate on signs leading to faith," he says. We see these scholars who continuously give historical information, telling about incidents by looking at the sky and with a music in the background. He changes his voice completely and it becomes very artificial. Just think that a student from Robert College or Saint Benoit is listening to him. Think about the psychological effect he would have in his or her soul. What would that person think of him and of religion? How could someone not think that?

Or a university student who studies Mechanical Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. He is very intelligent. And the man is lifting his head in the sky, talking by making noises of cry and sometimes faking to cry. And he talks as if he is telling a story. I mean, I acquit religious subjects from this. I am talking about his manner of telling. They cannot calculate the scale of destruction he can cause. However, religion means rationalism, intelligence, deep intelligence. For once, you know Allah and therefore you see the greatest truth. And you see the secrets of Allah. This requires a great brain, a great mind, does it not? It requires deep thinking. These are wonderful subjects that will be comprehended with deep faith and deep intelligence. Such superficial styles as if we have given what is written in the book to a machine to read.. There are such electronic devices, which read with a mechanical voice when you give the command "read." They are like those mechanical devices, which read what is written. They read with mechanically with a hoarse voice.

ADNAN OKTAR: Right? He has no soul or electricity that could be instrumental in guiding to faith, nor a profundity.. We cannot see these. On the contrary, they follow a manner that could shake people's faith or lead them to suspect their faith. I mean some of them of course; I acquit all. They do not realize this. They do not realize the destruction they cause. They still follow the model adopted in 1960s. They say, "That is how it has been till now and how it will go on." That is not the way it will go on. You will use your mind. Right? You should know how a reasonable intelligent young man would be effected when one talks about matters in such a manner. But they do not know that. You can sit in front of an ignorant person and make him cry by that, such a person might become sentimental because of your romantic gestures, emotional manners. People go to the movies and they cry sobbingly. Right? There are people who wail loudly while watching movies, they become all broken down by the time they leave the theater, they go to their homes and cry there as well.

ADNAN OKTAR: Now if you use the technique there, it would not do. Because the man cries to an imaginary scenario there. In the manner you use, you are also in a state of mind that wants to make him cry and you develop a manner of speech suitable to his character and you make him cry or you put him into an emotional mode, but can you give him any deepness in faith? No. Can you lead him to a deep faith and deep understanding? No. Can you save him from the idols of Darwinism and materialism? No you cannot. The man continues to live his normal life after your explanations. He says, "What a man he was. He talked very nicely." For example there are also people who read poetry. And the music begins in the back. Right? He also looks at the sky using a very different manner of speech.. Some children laugh at that; those kids are like monsters. I should not say monsters, may Allah forgive. They are like rascals and they are very clever. Now when he sees the man reading the poetry like that, they begin to laugh. They rightfully laugh. Because it is not a reasonable sight, is it? There is no reasonable rationalism. There is a strange situation. Not if you take that technique there and try to use for a subject, which requires deep intelligence, deep passion, deep thinking and an enthusiasm of deep faith, then you cause harm and you would not even know it. Right? The idols are standing right next to you, right on top of you and you sit down and tell these subjects. Why don't you first kick those idols from all around you?
